On March 17, 2020 we received an encyclical from His Eminence Archbishop Benjamin of the Diocese of the West, directing us to cancel all parish services and group activities. This directive will continue in effect until further notice.

In his March 17 letter, Archbishop Benjamin had said that he would review this directive after two weeks. On March 30, 2020, the Holy Synod of Bishops of the Orthodox Church in America met to discuss the current situation and called for social distancing through April 30, at which time they will meet again to review the matter.

Until further notice, Divine Services will be held at Holy Ascension Orthodox Church once a month wth a limit of 10 people attending, per government restrictions. See the weekly email bulletin for opportunities to sign up. The faithful are encouraged to participate in services via the following choices in streaming services, and may opt to receive communion at the Church after a scheduled liturgy by arriving around 10:50 AM and waiting outside until a person departs the building. There will be no refreshments served.
